NPCC Affiliation
The Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York, Inc., (NPCC) is the voice and information source for New York nonprofits. Established in 1984, NPCC informs and connects nonprofit leaders, saves nonprofits money, and strengthens the nonprofit sector’s relations with government. NPCC publishes a monthly newsletter, New York Nonprofits, offers workshops and roundtables on management issues, provides cost-saving vendor services, manages a Government Relations Committee that works on sector-wide government and legislative issues, and maintains a website loaded with information on operating a nonprofit. NPCC has more than 1,700 dues-paying members in the New York City area. Affiliate Membership is open only to 501(c)(3) nonprofits located outside of the metropolitan New York area. Government Grants Information Service. NPCC Affiliates can sign up to receive automated emails providing information on government funding opportunities in their areas of interest as soon as they appear in government registries. The system helps members identify new sources of funding and greatly extends the time available for proposal preparation and the development of collaborative grant applications. Retirement Benefits Program. NPCC, in conjunction with MetLife, sponsors a comprehensive retirement benefits program for its Affiliate members. Two primary types of plans are offered: a 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) and a Simplified Employer Pension Plan (SEPP). In addition, MetLife provides complete record keeping and, where required, plan documents, IRS reporting information and ERISA compliance services for a very low cost. Paychex will process your payroll, pay your payroll taxes and file your returns to the appropriate governmental agencies as well as provide services like direct deposit and check signing. They assume the responsibility for accuracy and timeliness. Payroll processing services are offered at a significant discount off their regular rates. Easy Office: Finance, Accounting & Bookkeeping Services. NPCC Affiliate service with Easy Office offers finance, accounting and bookkeeping services tailored to the needs of nonprofits.
