Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York (NPCC). This notice explains our collection policies and the use of information collected through email and regular mail correspondence, telephone calls, and faxes. NPCC does not track visitors to its website nor do we place cookies on users' browsers.
Our Communications
When an organization joins NPCC or whenever any members’ staff registers for one of our workshops, we ask for their email address (along with address, telephone, etc.) which are then entered into our database.
USPS: NPCC publishes a monthly newsletter and will mail up to four print copies through regular mail to members (this includes our Nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations, Corporate, Grantmaker, Student, and Associate members).
NPCC periodically mails its members items, including our Annual Report or a new publication. However, our primarily communication is via the monthly newsletter and postings on our website.
Email: We send a monthly email announcing that the new newsletter (http://www.npccny.org/newslet.htm) is now available online at our website.
Also once a month, we send an email announcing our workshop schedule (http://www.npccny.org/workshop.htm) to all members for whom we have an email address.
Occasionally, NPCC will send an email notice to members on a matter that we deem important or timely that will not make it into our monthly newsletter.
With the following two exceptions, NPCC does not share its list with any individual or organization:
NPCC provides members’ primary contact information to our discount vendors (Paychex, Staples, MetLife, etc.), so that they may contact your about their NPCC-discounted services. Only mail and phone information is shared; email addresses are not shared with these vendors. These vendors may not share this contact information with anyone else.
NPCC rents our member’s mailing list for one-time use to other NPCC members for mailing that may be of interest to other nonprofits. Mailing labels are provided for one-time use and include an indicator on the label to distinguish where they came from. NPCC has the right to refuse the list to an applicant organization if the materials are not consistent with our mission to help nonprofit organizations.
Opt In/Opt OutNPCC does not have an automatic Opt In/Opt Out list management system, so in order to be added or removed from our lists, you must notify us by either calling us at 212-502-4191, extension 30 or by emailing dpenabad@npccny.org. Members may opt out of emails or from the mailing list rental.
SurveysFrom time-to-time, we may ask members to participate in surveys. Participation is completely voluntary. We may ask contact and/or demographic information to help with the survey. The information collected will be used to better serve our members.
